Lee County’s Public Safety division is comprised of several programs with functions designed to assist residents, visitors and local government agencies.

9-1-1 PROGRAM responsible for maintaining a county-wide fully enhanced emergency telephone number system

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM responsible for planning and response to large scale emergency and disasters

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PROGRAM responsible for providing advanced life support pre-hospital emergency and primary health care utilizing both ground and air ambulance support
Deputy Director, Lee County Public Safety: Chris Hansen ;

TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM encompassing a county-wide emergency radio system and dispatch center that handles requests for fire, emergency medical and emergency management assistance as well as various county departments after hours

Additionally, this division furnishes fire protection services to dependent fire districts, administers an 800 MHz communications system for Lee County government operations and local municipalities, and administers the distribution of fire and EMS impact fee monies to independent fire districts and EMS agencies.
